I think Reading would be grateful of any cup run right now… they are being docked points for fun but the EFL…
Every cloud has a silver lining. That said the way L1 is shaping up if we don’t go up we will have two local away games there and Cheltenham. On the down side though away trips to Morecambe and Carlisle get thrown in too.

Apparently the game will be streamed live on here. Just copied this link from a FB poster on a FB post by the club, if that makes sense? Game will be broadcast live on here👇 🎥 https://kurawa.cpa-streamhd.com/soccer.phpDon’t shoot the messenger if this is a dud.

Fwiw as of 3pm yesterday we had sold 3,200 tickets. Obviously there will be quite a few that will just POTD (no shit captain obvious)
Isn’t it a hassle paying on the day, though. Never done it but queuing outside in what could be a downpour isn’t appealing. I still haven’t got over the absolutely inept game v Eastleigh a few years back - worst performance I’ve ever seen. Can’t remember who was in charge then.

This is my point, fans are quick to moan about the FA when they get rid of replays and that bigger clubs don’t take it seriously etc, but many don’t give a shit about going today, and I doubt many would look forward to Aldershot away in a replay either. We are all hypocrites.

Bonfire Night/Fireworks for many today plus the back end of half term and miserable weather. Not as easy a sell as one might think.
Still should be 6,000-7,000 I imagine.
I've always thought any 1st and 2nd round cup draws should be included in the season ticket.

Luke Williams, though it was just after Tim Sherwood came in as ‘DOF’ and somehow he ended up on the touchline for the second half of the replay v Eastleigh. That went well.

Yes & no. I think fans of clubs like ours just look at the FA Cup as a means to make money. Is a 1st round game against Aldershot going to bring in significant cash? Nope. Is it appealing? Nope. Is a mid week replay appealing, super nope. Is a 3rd round tie at home to Newcastle appealing? Yes. Is a mid week replay away at St. James Park appealing, hell yeah. Are two games against Newcastle going to bring in significant cash for the club, absolutely

That’s why we want to keep replays but don’t really give a flying fuck about rounds one & two
