Enjoy that, was nice to see us throw bodies infront of shots etc.

Uwakwe isn’t very good is he?
At defending, no. Going forward he did well in the first half.

Really well ground out win.

Liked bringing on Minturn and going to a back 4 to close it out. Wish we'd down that earlier/in other games

As others have said, left wing back is the only hole in the team. Uwakwe, Shade, Genesini, Ward - we definitely tried throwing enough shit at the wall in the last week of the window hoping something would stick.. but it hasn't

He hasn’t been great thus far.

I’d go as far as to say the best performance by a LWB this season was probably Genesini away at FGR and I don’t think he’s played since.

Yeah, strange.
He hasn’t even been getting a look in off the bench, preferring to bring Shade on.

Fjortoft summed it up perfectly on the radio post-match - wins like that are great to put in the bank, so you know you get bag 3 points when you’re not firing on all cylinders. Invaluable if we are to do something this season. The class of Kemp and Khan shone through, a brave save from Mahoney at 1-0, and a lovely finish from Jake Cain (not for the first time…). Cain may not buzz around as much as McEachran, and I think we lose a bit of his energy in the middle when he’s not there, but Cain has more goal threat. Onwards and upwards.

Good win.
Despite the pressure in 2nd half didn't really get the feeling that the 3pts were ever in doubt.
Having said that the fine margins were in our favour for a change.

Was a expecting a few more to travel but fair play to the 381 that made it.
It's a shit journey.
At least they didn't witness another defeat of Ragnarök like proportions.

Thats a bit harsh, he has played 3 very good games for us and he is only 7 games into his Town career. In a couple of games he has put much better crosses in than Hutton does yet got little credit, has 1 less assist than Hutton this season.

He is only 23 and raw, I think he will come good but he lacks consistancy and defensive quality, Iandolo managed 8 seasons in the same position without the ability to defend.

Yes, yesterday he had a mare but I won't judge him based on that alone. But he looked low on confidence, unsurprisingly so maybe give Genesini another go there for a couple of games?

By the way why wasnt Ben Ward on the bench yesterday? surely thats a total waste of a loan? is he injured?
