Think what is very clear is that a fair few of our players have benefitted hugely from having a pre-season that they didn't get under their belts last term.

I think it's also fair to say that basically every player that has got minutes this season has contributed in some way instead of merely coming off the bench to make up the numbers.

McEachran closely followed by Brewitt, FBT and Doakes.

The whole bloody lot of them.   Certainly seem to have bonded as a team.  Young and Kemp a little off the pace, but that’s to be expected after the previous run of games.  Can’t really fault any of them, looking like a squad we’ve not seen for years, dedication wise.

FBT is like a Rolls-Royce when he moves forward.
Largely a cigar and smoking jacket afternoon for Brewitt, one good turn of pace to take charge of a situation in the 2nd half & mainly faultless throughout.

But went for McEachran.
One great turn to get out of a tight spot and covered a lot of ground. Makes the team tick.
Maturing very nicely.

Out yesterday so not caught up with the game but interesting that the most votes are for Brewitt but the most posts for FBT/McEachran. Brewitt is the silent majority choice it seems. Great to see our defence doing well though!

Went for Brewitt edged it just in front of FBT and McEachran.

The fact that Brewitt, McEachran and RHM were all bumbling around not in English league football makes me wonder how many other players are out there that just need the bit of interest from the club to see if they could actually “make it”. I guess that we do not have the scouting set up that the wealthier clubs do and probably rely on agents pushing their clients.

Yes, it has definitely changed my perception of 'the scrapheap'. I think as both Academies have got bigger and EFL squads have got smaller post Covid, there must be many more young players out there in the wilderness who can do a job, especially given a proper preseason.

Both Brewitt and McEachran showed there was something to work with in a dismal team last year but the preseason has really seen them kick on and show they can have an EFL career.

Proof if ever it was needed that players need to be given a chance to prove themselves.

Brewitt (just). Thought McEachran and FBT were excellent too. Young his worst game for us

Don’t think ‘worst’ is a fair description. Least effective would be better.

same difference.

the problem with scoring so many is that the opposition double up on you. That's fine, we have Charlie and RHM to exploit the gaps

Nice to see there are so many options this season.
Last season most games best option was ‘ none of the above’.

Was obvious right from the KO that Young was a target. Additionally we thought that the ref let an awful lot go and had we had the opening game ref, one sending off could have been three, thankfully not as it turned out.

Of course, Brewitt, McEachran, RHM are all ex PL academy with England representative honours at junior level. McKirdy was the same so the ability was  there but regular game time is giving them a chance to show it.

Didn't see the game on Saturday but it's refreshing to see Brewitt getting so many MoM votes.
