Two reasons mate.

Ken Beamish and his style of football. For me he is still the worst manager I have seen at Swindon, other than possibly Sheridan.

Ah you reminded me, I meant to include Sheridan on my list above...

Sheridan 24.24%

Ken Beamish and his style of football. For me he is still the worst manager I have seen at Swindon, other than possibly Sheridan.

Beamish was a Div 4 clogger of a player, never really played higher than Div 3 and only knew the hoofball style of football, he bagged a goal every 3 games in a 650 game career though.

He arrived the previous season, took his coaching badges when appointed and was assistant to Trollope, when Trollope was sacked Beamish stepped up to the manager position.

To say Beamish was a limited player and coach was an understatement, he carried over his playing style to being a manager and we played awful long ball football, pretty much for the first time in Swindons long history we had a manager who prefered kick and run rather than footballing quality, hence the huge drop in attendances that season to their lowest ever.

Chatted to a bloke in Lanzarote a few years back..

Ken Beamish brother...

I tried to change the subject.

Apparently Ken did a load of stuff with Blackburn Rovers.

Very well regarded up there.
Think he had a spell as their Commercial Manager.

Brother and sister in law told a story where they had the Premier League Trophy in their house.

Pretty poor management dropping the captain and then telling him he isnt even travelling. Surely would be beneficial to have him there even if not playing?

I'm a few days behind and haven't read all the way up to date yet but this report came from Ryan Whelan (or ''Rylan'' as I like to call him) - SdM's Press Liaison guy. It just feels like it has a bit of Alan Nixon vibes about it. Maybe Whelan is backing his informant Sandy by turning the screw on Morris, in order to divert attention away from and somewhat protect/buy more time for SdM?  Hmmm

You never know Jimmy, just takes a strong finish and you'll be up there. It's very easy to predict Swindon results recently unfortunately.

Still not made it home from this game yet and the Belfast to Liverpool ferry is delayed by nearly 2 hours so- hope I make the game tomorrow!
