As others have said, I think we need to go Mike Bassett on this one. 4-4-fucking-2. Billy basics.

Brynn (because we have no alternative sadly)

Hutton                 Brewitt                      FBT                     Tomlinson

Lavinier                Khan                         McEachran           Williams

                            RHM                         Austin

No pissing about.

I agree, but being a young ‘progressive’ manager Morris wants to hang his hat on a more up to date style - whether it works or not.

Not felt this uninterested in a Town game since Sheridan was here.

Will watch on iFollow only because I have nothing else to do and I have already got the game as part of the season pass.

We will lose.

I'll watch this because, like PV, I've already paid for it. But it's basically a very early preseason friendly. Hopefully see one or two fringe players get a go - no point playing all the youths, but give one or two a chance to impress amongst the senior pros.

It feels like a game after we've been relegated, pointless and could easily be deleted from the fixture list as neither team has anything to play for and fans should be allowed in for free!

Anyone know anymore on Clayton/Jephcott. Left out against Mansfield but no injured. Jephcott i dont care about, not going to play ahead of Austin and not our player. Was very surprised by Clayton though, with no CB on the bench and Tomlinson playing CB.

TBF that looks ok to me. Gives Austin and Williams a rest too.

According to Morris in the presser he said he was out of form but ‘that doesn’t mean I’ll leave him out forever’ which doesn’t sound encouraging for his future!

Even tempted to bin Brewitt out and play Minturn.

…or move Clayton in midfield but worth giving Cain some game time because we paid for him, he’s on a long contract and it feels like he’s hardly played

Important people are dropped when out of form, and to be fair he is correct. Would like to see that happen to a few others, Hutton for example, Lavinier deserves a start ahead of him on recent form.

However to not have Clayton on the bench, well thats quite some bad form he must be in.
