Agreed, last season Garner was accepted with a few murmours as we all knew we were close to folding but second time around the fans will turn quickly as the chairman has seemingly took the cheap option

Haven't we always taken the "cheap option" this century?
The most recent not so cheap option left carnage in their wake.

If you're talking post 2011/13 you may have a point but can't imagine the following would have been cheap and all since the turn of the century.

Colin Todd
Roy Evans
Dennis Wise
Paul Sturrock
Danny Wilson

For a managerial cheap option I always think that means appointing someone who is already at the club, so that would apply for Lindsey & Luke Williams.

However I wouldn't say that applied to Sheridan, Wellens, Brown & Flitcroft.

However if it's because you think we should be taking a manager who is already employed at a successful club, it's a long time since we have done that

I was thinking more a case of where other clubs weren't exactly clamouring for the services of the managers we've appointed since 2000.

Even some of the names mentioned by JQ.
No idea if Wise for example had other options before joining.

Injured? Would be of odd to play golf. Assuming you are serious.

If not, why not in squad yesterday?

He was playing golf yesterday as put it up on his insta stories

Could be an injury or maybe giving him a rest. Wellens always said Iandolo used to be at risk of overdoing in training so maybe the sports science people think he needs rest. He’s a model pro based on what I’ve heard so I can’t see him causing any issues. In a recent interview, Lindsey was also very complimentary about him.

Merely curious why he wasn't in the squad.

I assumed injury/precaution. But I've not seen it mentioned

Can’t imagine playing golf is very conducive to protecting an injury.

Or…. He had a slight knock that they didn’t want to risk.

Playing golf is hardly the same as a game of football is it?

A lot more strain on the body in different muscle groups. Specifically intercostal. Latissimus Dorsi can also take a fair share of knocks and pulls too but not sure if he plays for the Grecians any more?!  Hmmm

I'm playing DA. He's fit and youngish, playing at an elite level professional sport so no doubt he is fine. Maybe his fitness was already ahead of several others and it meant there wasn't any point putting him in for the training exercise v SSM?
