Laurel.

I see Garners comments havent gone down well up there.

Ah gotcha, yeah we are about 13 miles from Ulverston in the car, or about 5 miles as the crow flies but there is a bloody great big estuary in the way.

Seems an unnecessarily twattish think for Garner to say TBH.

I wonder whether his comments were taken out of context.  There's not a lot of detail there.  And it does seem an odd thing to say.  Suggests that Barrow might be doing something underhand if it was called off...and there's no basis for suggesting that.

Sounds as if Garner was uncharacteristically spiky. Then there was this on Grant:

We'll assess every player's future in January. We just want to come out of each window stronger than when we went into it. Grant had the chance to stake his claim against Colchester, and he didn't take it. That's football, says Garner.

Yeah, he's finished here isn't he.

Grant was TEF MoM in that game, but what do we know? Garner wouldn't be so categoric if he hadn't already made his mind up.

Absolutely, Grant was easily the best player in a Town short for that game, thanks for the good times and good luck for the future big man.

Despite the forecast saying sunny intervals with a moderate breeze and a 14% chance of rain, its presently absolutely pissing it down here!

Pre pre match exploring strange new worlds in The Furness Railway.
As a sole trader decided to treat the loyal workforce to a Christmas party for a change.
No secret santa, speeches or handing out awards, well maybe a bag or two of dry roasted peanuts.

Could have stayed in Lancaster or somewhere in Lakeland or even in Preston. Nope went for the budget option instead.

There is a Plan B (no, not that one) for watching some football tomorrow if the game is called off.
We'll see.

Asda Mate.

Also look on the club website, they have an agreement with a company to park at a site a bit beyond Asda if Asda is patrolled?

Garner is losing the plot. He reckons we should get the points if the game is called off due to the weather.

Is that the 'spoons, never knew you could stay in them.

This one is also a hotel, but booked into the Travelodge next to the ground.
Ok with drinking in a 'spoons, not sure about staying in one overnight.
Post match fine dining options look to be thin on the ground.
One Turkish restaurant in the town centre that looks promising.

Gut feeling is that the game won't survive the predicted deluge in the morning.
I'd imagine that a very heavy pitch would handicap both sides.
