Correct Mr. Quinn. After watching A @ Cambridge and H v Carlisle & Tranny, then being away where you’d expect the home team to be pressing their advantage, coupled with our ‘lack’ of seemingly direct firepower I’m happy with that. TBF I would not complain at a 0-0. So seeing as we played much better on Tuesday 0-1 to us is not a flight of fancy.

1 goal scored in our last 3 games shows where the problem lies - especially as over the first 3 league games we are 4th in the number of chances created in L2.

Garner seems blind to the need for an out and out goalscorer- seemingly preferring attacking players to an out and out striker.

Fancy ass football is fine but impotent fancy ass football is not.

Yet, here he is saying quite the opposite: (about Simpson)

Quote
“We’re really, really pleased with him as a start, but we’d just like some competition for him. Someone who can come in and play with him or give him a rest at times.

Signing players in one position does not mean you can't also sign players in others. That, and good strikers tend not to be signed until later in the season. Doyle didn't even come until after the window had closed.
