Football clubs are a good vehicle for ‘other’ means of making money.

I mean it’s not like our vice chairman has form in that area is it?

Wasn't our most wanted also associated with MTK, boxing money launders.

Which could 100% be coincidental/at a different time.

It’s the inept people that are employed that really gets to me and makes you wonder why he wanted the club.

You’d think that the club would employ the best people they could possibly get but we get 2 Axis stooges for the key CEO and CFO roles who are clearly unqualified and inappropriate for the roles.

Then there is our head of commercial who as well as clearly being pretty crap at marketing has just been caught lying on LinkedIn either deliberately or more worrying by failing to have a basic grasp of numbers.

Was that the 32% increase thing? Wasn't it a decrease or did I get that totally wrong as well?

Yeah he’s on LinkedIn claiming a 32% increase in marketing revenue compared to the year before so businesses should come partner with the club.

The 32% is actually the % of total revenue, the year before it was 35% so as a stat it’s got worst. In monetary terms it’s increased by £100k which is about the same % as inflation. But claiming a 32% increase is a blatant lie, if it’s the case he just doesn’t understand the figures then that’s even more worrying.

This has ALWAYS been my question, what was his motivation for buying us? he has no money (in football club ownership terms) , hes not improving us on the pitch, we have gone backwards quickly off the pitch too.

Power warned us that Clem cant afford to own and run us, we thought was sour grapes but it was prophetic.

Bills not getting paid on time, hes not a historic Swindon fan, training facilities are no better, constant change in poor choice of managers, removing all "football people" from helping to run the club, so what is his reason for buying us? other than being an ego trip.

If I were a betting man I would initially say the ego trip of investing and being to play bobby big bollocks and then the (at least perceived) opportunity to get something for a value much lower than market when Power (or more likely his lawyers/accountants) royally fucked up with the whole Able pre-emptive rights shenanigans.....

It can only be 1 of 3 things if its not for footballing reasons.
1. It is one MASSIVE ego trip
2. He wants to make money eventually from developing the CG
3. Its a way of illicitly making money for himself/others but done in a semi legal way through the books

Think it’s a combination of all 3 to be honest. Could probably add providing jobs to his mates and associates to list as well.

All 3 plus perhaps not so even semi legal ways for others.

Can't see anything in there about Hart mate.

The only confirmation I can find of his direct link was here.

MTK London manager Adam Hart added: “This is great news for everyone and these six fighters are all gifted enough to win titles in the paid ranks.
