I can’t believe I missed the announcement that Spencer is vice chair of the supporters club now. May as well rename themselves the official Clem Morfuni fan club. Embarrassing these are the people that are meant to represent the fans.

I think that was in reference to being on the Advisory Board for the Fair Game lobbying group. I don't think he is anymore though, as it was via the Trust.

He's still listed on the website, though that may be out of date.

He was trying to interact with Andy Holt on the report the other day so that would suggest he’s still involved. But what I can’t believe is that after the debacle at the Trust he’s now vice chair of the OSC, how can we honestly have him representing the interests of the fans, it’s just laughable. The fact the announcement is hidden in some newsletter shows they know it’s an unpopular appointment.

In all fairness, that is probably where he should have been all along. The OSC generally steers clear of being involved in any tough conversations with the club, essentially acting as a volunteer and fundraising organisation. A bridge between the operational/football side of the club and the community. The Trust should always have a healthy distance in my view, something he did not seem too great at.

TBF I know Andy the Chairman of the OSC & he's a top bloke, but it's right to say they are not the critical friend and as Rob says that's what the Trust should be.
I don't know James Spencer, but all the others I've met through knowing Andy have been good people

No matter how benign the OSC’s intentions are, by giving Spencer the platform, it legitimises the way the club is being run. He has a clear conflict of interest, which went undisclosed for a period of time, and that report will be used now by Morfuni as “proof” that they are running the club well. It’s shameful, and I struggle to understand how a Town fan could do that to their club.

I know one of the regular pannelists from last season didnt get an email to see whether they would do it this season. They arent a fan of the ownership and are critical on social media so wonder if it is being sanitized?

I listened to the OSC earlier. I think Fair Game mean well, but they’re measuring the wrong things, which results in a worthless data set that can be used by clubs to cover the truth. It’s all rather counter-productive. Vic Morgan did a great job, as usual.

Oxford are preparing a £5-£6 million move for a Galatasaray player and potentially>£3 million for Abu Kamara from Norwich. We are lightyears away.
