41 games in, missed 1 game all season (didn’t realise we were kicking off early one week...), £10 a game, £400 later.. I’ll save the last £50 and bet it all on Swindon to go down. At least I’ll make some money back on this god awful season.

This situation is now the worst since I started in '66.  I'm not the perfect fan.  I've struggled with long, bad runs and some managers in the past.  I've always kept back from voicing abuse during a match.  Except perhaps towards apparent lack of effort when  I may have failed to allow for injury or other reasonable mitigation.

But in those past hard times, we've always been able to share and express both frustration and support.

Like Drummer Boy, I've given up the ghost with clicking away £££,  only to be a silent witness to the utter contempt being shown to our club. Swindon Town Football Club. Massive respect for those of you who continue watching online.  The Townend.com would not be the same without you.

Fans not being able to attend has been a double edged sword. Not having to witness the shit fest is a minor positive but I’m sure that with fans Sheridan could not have survived anywhere near this long.

And the same goes for Power and his minders.

It’s strange, though, that the spectre of certain relegation isn’t as painful as it has been before. If it heralds a new beginning for the club then I’m in.

What’s a bit worrying is the timescale. If Power is still in charge in, say, 6 months God knows what will happen with recruitment, contract negotiations. I hope I’m right in thinking once we’ve been butt fucked by Wigan in the last game, news of Sheridactyl’s departure will come hand in hand with that. Anyone know when his contract is up - end of the season = May 5 or is it an actual date.

You can’t be surprised we look certain to be relegated. Once it became apparent months ago that Sheridactyl should be binned and wasn’t the writing was on the wall. We’ve had one terrible performance after another and yesterday was the culmination of them.

It’s imperative that whatever changes are going to made in the boardroom happen now - no delays. We, as fans, have no idea how far down the road we are with getting rid of the rotting, bloated corpse of Power.
