Gets my vote every time.
What a night that was. Can still see Ian Miller standing next to us ready to take the corner, I saw Billy Tucker in the air, meet the ball and it was like a bullet.
I didn’t see anything after that. The Clock End that night moved. Health & Safety out the window Smiley
It was simply mental celebrations and probably the wildest following a goal. How nobody www crushed as a pile of bodies everywhere.

Great memories Duke and like you say it was mental at the clock end and after the game we counted over 100 coaches parked up by the railway line which is now the Emirates

I got the slipper at school the next day as we bunked the last lesson and jumped over the fence into the cemetery. Caught the early train and the queues were massive even at around 6pm.

We got detention Duke just Ike two rounds earlier when we bunked off to go to Plough Lane

Steve Foley's diving header against Leeds at home in the early 90's.... Loved that!!

Didn’t Miller take it?
Miller used to take the right footed ones and Mayes the left IIRC.

OST could have a thread dedicated just to his booming headers.
Watched the highlights of the 4-6 v Brum last night and could have sworn before that his header was off the sweet spot of the bandage that was applied when he had to go off for treatment in the first half.
No sign of a bandage so apparently not. The passage of time muddies the waters I guess.

Must be way out in front for the most stitches applied during a Town career.
One of the Sunday papers had the best description of him, "teak hard".

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

6 foot 2 eyes of blue big Jon Gittens after you, nothign was going to stop him getting to that ball first!

And another diving header from the late great big man at Boremuff.

I was at the bandage game, it was a home game. He jogged off, got patched up and jogged back out. No messing  Smiley

Amazing game and glad to say that i was there.

the crazy result rather over shadowed Maskells incredible lobbed header.

I do enjoy a bullet but this was something else...there is a goal by George Best that does the rounds but this is just as good....one minute in.

Steve Foley against Leeds, 1990, is one I vividly remember, mainly because of the beautiful outside of the foot cross from David Kerslake.
A game that also included a MacLaren thunderbolt special that would make the top 10 of "from outside the area" goals as well.

I was there as I was for every game between 1983 and 1999 but have no recollection of that game, goals or result!
