Anyone been to Plitvice Lakes, Croatia?  Hmmm

I've got wanderlust/itchy feet (no it's not athlete's foot) and fancying a bit of an explore!

Yeah we went to Croatia, ooh about 6 or 7 years ago now and Plitvice Lakes was one of our stops as we ventured from the north to the south. Stunning place, the water is so crystal clear. Very Picturesque.

We then got a bus south to Split but I cocked up and rather than get the express, got one that stopped in every one horse town you could imagine, and no toilet which wasn't ideal as we'd had a couple of beers prior to getting on said bus.

I'm going on a 7 day Caribbean cruise in a couple of weeks. Never been on a cruise before, any tips?

My Dad got it for me as a (very unusually large) Christmas present. It's an inside cabin, no windows, and they want £700 to upgrade to one with a window. I love a view, and natural light, but I'm thinking I can just find different parts of the ship to hang out in when I'm not sleeping.

It's a P&O cruise on their new ship, Arvia. I've booked a couple of P&O excursions for the stops.

You will spend little time in the room. Other than sleeping. So no need for windows when your eyes are closed!

Take seasick pills just in case. Pace yourself on the food. Do some exercise in the gym or on the deck.

With a name like goat and going on a Caribbean cruise you might end up on the Specials board of an evening Wink

Curry Goat anyone?!

Here's hoping your full name isn't Mystical Saltfish Plantain Goat! Although what a meal that'd be!  Cheesy

Head eastwards a bit and you'll find some parts of decommissioned ones

What are the best websites to search for hiring cottages in the UK? I get a 6% discount with AirBnB so I've started there but if anyone has any other useful tips, that would be appreciated. Looking to head to the Northumberland area around Easter.

Thanks

We go up for a fortnight every year (I suspect in 10 years or so we will be living up there), used Sykes Cottages, Northumberland Coast and Country and various others, all much of a muchness and often find that places are advertised on all of them.
