Were do I start after Saturday? The same attitude, style and commitment as at Fleetwood and we have a chance.  They’re in turmoil with Barton apparently telling 7 of his first team that they’re not in his future plans.

Win this and we’ll have a little bit of air between us and the others.

If it’s back to the ‘same old’ we’re screwed.

0-2 in front of 209 viewers.

Has he stubbed a cigarette in their eyes yet?
Horrible little shit is Barton. A win would be incredible. They appear like us with no consistency. Completely dismantled Pompey then start losing again.
Don’t need anyone reminding us probably the biggest game of the season so far after the surprise win yesterday.

Where does the 'Wovers' thing come from?  Don't think I've ever heard it said that way.  'Gas' or 'Gasheads' I understand.

The other thing I don't quite understand is how Bristol City get the 'Slave Traders' tag while Bristol Rovers seem to swerve it.  They're both Bristol.  Why does the red half carry this and not the blue & white?

You make some salient points, can't say I have ever heard anyone call the gas (Gash) Wovers ever before.

And yes not sure why one half is slave traders and the other half had a far more racist name previously of the Black Arabs, conveniently forgotten.

As for the game Gash 3-0 Swindon.

Christ knows what name Bamboo will come up with!

As for the game. I reckon one thing in our favour is that we’re away. I think most, if not all, of our better performances have been away - whether we avoided defeat or not.

It’s the abysmal home performances that have got people down.

The only thing I can think of is Ashton Gate is close to the river Avon/docks so the slaves would have been shipped close by to where the football ground is now sited.

It worked for Saturday, so why not? Post it in the wrong thread, keep our plans secret.

Ashton Gate is in Bristol. However, I think you'll find that Bristol Rovers are actually in Gloucestershire.  I believe the 'border' is the A420.  South Glos Council have their Offices on the north side of the A420.
