Hoofball 1, good football 3, unless conditions drags Crewe down to our level.

Whenever we’ve been a goodish technical side and have had a long away day in terrible conditions against a struggling agricultural side, then we’d expect to lose

2-1 Swindon

It wasn't so long ago Swindon v Crewe would have been a game for the purist!

Looking back at the first game, even when ahead we were all over the place and taken apart with ease in the second half.
Not sure Crewe will be able to replicate that performance today, which might give us a chance and with the wind tunnel in operation as well.
Would love to say that our own slick one touch passing game won't be hindered by the conditions.  No
But a win is a win, doesn't matter how its achieved in the current predicament.

Still care? Yes. Do defeats still hurt? Yes they do and some more than others.
It soon passes and there is always another game to come.
Better that than no game at all.
If the roadmap to recovery includes journeys to Barrow and Harrogate then fine, so be it.
We'll know more in the coming weeks.

Anyway, let's enjoy the game.  Crash Suicide Pint

Looking forward to the latest edition of Shezball..

Or if not that, to watch Lowery, Kirk, Pickering etc. Must be great for Crewe fans to have a new generation of academy products playing decent football under a forward thinking manager.

Looking forward to having a game to watch today. My tenner will be spent in hope rather than expectation. The hope that we get something from the game and the hope that we abandon the hoof ball anti-football of recent months. Roll on 3 pm. COYR.

I was about to post something similar actually. They do never seem to get above league 1, but they always play good football and how refreshing it must be to see it with their own players playing football 'properly'.

Fuck sake it's a home game isn't it? Which h means I don't need to buy a pass, which means I'm going to watch it until we concede.

I'm going 9th minute.

Ah, so Big Smith is the Facebook tosspot I’ve heard about.

Sounds like all I heard was true, too.

How low have we gotten when the vast majority expect to get beaten by Crewe.

Crewe, ffs.

Well, if things go badly at least the Sausage Meats thread isn't far away.

Not sure he will be allowed to post in it though!

Every time I read the thread title I hear in my head "Who can take a sunrise, Sprinkle it with dew, Cover it in chocolate and a miracle or two? Sausage meats can....."

and for the train spotter.

IIRC, it was regularly called the Railway Derby by Reg.

Keep seeing mention of our pitch being shit. What happened? Wasn't it quite good in previous seasons?
