On Sheridan - he started strong, lots of fucking this and fucking that. Travers got a rollicking for punching a ball well clear under pressure - seems he should have caught it and it deserved bringing to his attention while play was still unfolding and Portsmouth in possession near our goal. He kept up this good standard of beratement, Bret getting some, Hope also.
As the half wore on though, he let Wrighty take up too much space before gradually drifting out of the half. Needs to get some energy drink in him at half time and come back stronger second half. Runs the risk of losing this contest.

I presume the players now get a half time quarter of an Orange and a 1-2-1 with Sheridan where he tells them they were fucking awful, get if forward and, just for Travers, catch the fucking ball. I think even Managers of the classics such as The Greyhound, Deers Leap and New Century would be further forward in their coaching development than this guy.

I had to, the Pompey one was doing my head in, been on "stadium sound" since the first 20 mins, it tells you all you need to know about hsi man management skills, no wonder the experienced players hate his style. |
