The difference between the way we played at the start of the season and now is absolutely spectacular

These hopeful punts seem to be our only real tactic going forward.

Not expecting anything else from this managers style of “play”. Professionals being told to just lump it and see what breaks goes totally against my love for football.

Shrewsbury play in a pretty agricultural way, similar to a Flitcroft team, lots of long balls to a big man up front or hoofs down the wings and get balls into the box for the big man.

Pack the defence and launch it up field at the earliest chance.

They play a lower league style that Sheridan probably wishes we play as well as they seem to be trained.

I don’t think that’s doing them enough credit. They’ve controlled the game pretty well.

Anyone that played under Wellens in this team must be utterly deflated and almost embarrased to play in the way we do now.

And much like Plymouth we make the opposition look half decent when they actually aren't, they are just well trained in their tactics.

We may as well just play 9 defenders and a lone striker, bypassing the midfield at every opportunity, awful to watch.

This hoof ball ‘tactic’ is Sheridan’s method of meeting the brief to keep us up. Problem is that method may have worked 10 years ago but football has moved on, even in lge 1. I think we needed to be a bit more direct but fuck me there’s no need to go full John Beck.

Because we have been so poor we have allowed them.

Luckily, that's only Hunt and Lyden from last season. Pitman, Payne and Odimayo a bit, but not much in most cases, this year. The turnover of players has been extreme.
