John Smith (played by Peter Kay), not Jonny Smith.

I reckon Mike Bassett and John Smith (Kay) would take us all the way to the Champions League (of gentlemen).

I suggest we minimise the cost even further by replacing him with someone else with the same initials. At least that way we’ll get some use out of his effing coat.

Jock Strap? Should help improve our ball control and prevent flapping.

Reckon he'll be involved with a similar thing this season

But there's no reason to throw the towel in this season. Not yet anyway. We definitely have the squad to get us safe and there's plenty of time to do it, we just need to change the fucking manager (is he still here?)

I’m not sure we even have the squad for it now.
No DJ, no M.Smith, no Travers.
Probably our three best players this season!!

But you can see Flash's point, if you look at the table we are somehow still in it. Therefore we keep fighting.

I agree it looks hopeless on the field.

The rot has well and truly set in. It's clear to see. No real structure to the side, and I'm buggered if I can see what our supposed style of play is meant to be. Also missing too many players in various ways. A negative manager who isn't really managing and obviously doesn't have the dressing room. The only hope is he goes now and someone more positive has enough to get us limping over the line. Sets the team up with a structure and tries to lift them. Otherwise the trap door beckons.

honestly think if he's not going the only hope is a player revolt to play a style they see fit and ignore the fucker.

would need everyone onboard though. suspect many would view playing in a shit team better than being frozen out

I agree, a good side dismantled in a matter of 3 weeks.
