Caddis is a superb defender, pretty good on the attack, we do not have anybody better, just relax
We do, we have Freeman but he is unfit/injured has covid.

Sheridan:
- Echoes from previous games. Sheridan says he sounds like a broken record
- Gave ourselves a mountain to climb
- Good spirited performance
- Need to be switched on
- When we scored first at Ipswich it gave us belief
- Very even game until they scored
- We were playing offside when we shouldn't
- Then we have t o chase the game
- Spirit and endeavour and desire was all there
- Thought we played very well second half without creating too much
- M Smith chance in first half which he should do better with
- We concede too often and t hen panic which results in us conceding again
- Second half perfomance was good.
- We were brave
- Should have worked keeper more
- Took game to them and kept them quiet
- We cant keep chasing. Need to get in the lead like versus Ipswich
- We've matched a good footballing side. We are not being outplayed
- Todays performance will win us games
- Dont know what Fryers has done. Hamstring he thinks
- We are picking up too many injuries
- Curran vs Odimayo? Curran has been better in training.
- Thought Curran did well when he came on. Did well. He's young and has to get up to speed
- Dont know why Curran always gets brought up? Fryers and Conroy have made worse mistakes, including today. Why not bring them up?
- Curran did well in Shez eyes. He tells the group when they dont do well. Doesn't single people out
- If they should do better Shez will tell them. You can hear him on the sidelines
- No sub keeper because we were at home. Wanted 2 covering defenders as Caddis coming back from not many games
- Hopefully next week we will have a striker in
- Players make their own decisions. With agents its difficult
- We need 2 strikers
- Shez wants competition for places
- Table is tight. 3 points would have jumped 5 places
- Good performance against a good team.
- Neutrals would say we looked a good team
- Freeman will be available next week after a weeks training

Very glad that Hawes pressed Sheridan on the "Curran over Odimayo" decision. Well done.

I have to say Sheridan's response was absolute dogshit, saying that Curran is essentially a better player than Odimayo. In the next breath to then say he purposely risked no sub GK, backed up by that he thought having Odimayo as back up would be better...hellooooooooo.

Earth to Sheridan.

"Very even game until they scored" - not a particularly worthwhile observation from JS

I know I am but more importantly - what about Sheridan?  Smiley

Christ I wish we had a decent centre back who stayed fit. I'm afraid that relegation is on the cards if we don't bring a reliable good fit centre back. It will only get worse next month with double gameweeks. I feel sorry for Fryers but his injury situation seems hopeless.

I am very glad they asked too. I texted in and asked them to ask the question they were all thinking. Curran is a disaster and Sheridan’s answer was complete BS.

We got what we deserved today - conceded two sloppy goals, a failure of the offside trap in the first 5 mins, then didn’t close down the short corner for the second (that fact ignored by many in the rush to blame Curran for being outjumped at the back post) - if we close down the cross it wouldn’t happen.
For avoidance of doubt I’m not an advocate for Curran, but I think others were at least equally culpable for that goal.
Doncaster looked tidy in possession, pacy and physically a handful up front, and able to sit back and stay in shape as we gifted them an early goal.
If Matt Smith had taken that chance first half it could have been different, but in truth their keeper didn’t have a lot to do. We were better after the second half subs came on,  but didn’t create enough in key areas. DJ was heavily marked, and unable to have the impact he did last week. Also Twine, although I thought he had a tidy game.
I also thought the referee was inconsistent and very poor. Although if he had been competent , Curran may have seen red rather than yellow.
Relegation starting to look likely - we need 31 points from 24 games to stay up (51 points is usually enough) 8 wins, 7 draws or similar - that’s a tall order unless we start to keep some clean sheets.
