It's snowing here, and I just had a rare sighting of a robin. That can't be a bad thing, can it.

On reflection perhaps Curran is the sub keeper, he can’t be any worst in goal than he is at centre back.
Versatile!

TBH he is a big lump so would at least act as a block if he had to be used in goal.

Buzzing about the line up. Looking at the Doncaster forums, they seem to be pretty concerned with the hole in the squad from Ben Whiteman departure. Feeling positive as always! COYR!

And also bamboo, there is an argument to be had that playing a team that's relatively settled will make them better as they get to know each others game .

there were effectively 3 new players, 2 in key minefield positions

True, Town "need" a settled side but a few tweaks, possibly J.Smith in for Palmer and Freeman (when fit) for Caddy. I think J.Smith can link up well with both Lyden and Twine.

I've seen the team for today, unchanged of course. I hope J.Smith gets 20 or 30 mins, especially as Town seem to tire/lack concentration during midpoints of the match. He could be useful in the final third. Other annoying thing is what is the point of promoting Matthews to the first team (as No.2 GK) if Town are only going to name the ego massager. We still have 6 subs and gazeboed if Travers gets an unforeseen injury - like a wallop in the face or broken finger.

Looking forward to watching this - to see if last week’s performance was a one-off or an indication of better things to come.

Ditto for Scott Twine as well.

Unchanged side - potentially good choice

Fixed  Wink

Although Donny is a totally different proposition from Ipswich. Will be an interesting match. I want to see a little more tactical awareness from JS (or whoever is pulling strings/setting the team up).

Enjoy the match.

Based on the keepers we have had for the majority of the season Stevie Wonder would have done a better job.

Didn't he go in goal once before in a previous stint with us? Or am I imagining that?
