I would invest in Twins as he looked good in pre-season and has gone on to perform well in div 4. We may well end up relegated so keep him and build a team that enables his talent to be developed further. Then flog him for bigger returns. If we stay up, (hoping) he has hopefully become consistent and useful at this level. Brown I seemed to recall rated him. That might not be a strong argument mind!

It's a good question. What is his worth though
Seeing some of the money being spent on young, inexperienced players with potential £1m.

Just look what academy products from Exeter and 1 now from Cobblers are going for  - 8 games, 1 goal, going for £1m.

Or half that and a 40% sell on. Could see Power/Tactics screwing QPR over him.

I decided to avoid the last couple of matches as I began to feel a bit meh about everything but, strangely, I am actually looking forward to the next fixture.

Twine given the number 10 shirt

That's quite a nice "welcome home" present.  Pint

Ipswich fans in pretty much the same boat as Swindon fans when it comes to enjoyment this season, losing some of the love of watching their team as they struggle, fans disenchanted with the manager and tactics and form even though they sit in 7th place.

They haven't had a game since 15th December a home win 2-1 vs the struggling Burton and they only have 2 wins in the last 5 league games and only 3 wins in the last 10 games in all competitions Burton, Plymouth and Shrewsbury and only 1 being a draw with our nearest neighbours.

Luke Woolfenden, Kayden Jackson are ex Town players they have ex Town targets James Norwood and Ollie Hawkins in the squad.

Confidence of Swindon fans is currently at a real low with few expecting a win, and Ipswich has never been a happy hunting ground for Swindon with just 2 wins there in my lifetime of just over half a century back in 89 and 91. Swindon have lost their last 4 games at Portman Road and lost 5 of the last 6 games played there the other being a draw.

The 4-1 win in 91.

The 2-1 win in 89.

My only memories of games there are Fjortoft scoring his first Swindon goal there in the FA cup and the start of his great run of games and goals for the Town and the 6-1 defeat in the LC in 1985 when we took around 3,000 travelling fans there on a cold Tuesday evening in November, still remains one of the best atmospheres at a Town away game I have experienced even though we had Brentford loanee Richard Key in goal after keeping a clean sheet vs Sheff Weds in the previous round he had a bit of a mare.

Hopefully the new signings make an impact, in the right way, and we can get an unexpected win even though my head says a 3 goal+ defeat.

I remember that game well as we left around 1.30 and our coach parked up in compound (make shift car park) around 4.30 which was three hours before kick off so we had plenty of time to kill in the Town Centre before walking back to the ground listening to deafening chants of we are Lou macaris red and white army. We also took over the pub newr one of the side stands and completely out sang them for 90 minutes

If we do line up 4-2-3-1 and everyone is available

GK - Travers

RB - Freeman
LB - Thompson
CB - Conroy
CB - Fryers

CM - J. Lyden
CM - M.Smith

RW - Jaiyesimi
AM - Twine
LW - J. Smith

FOR - Pitman
Dont think Freeman is in the squad, at least he won't start, not match fit according to well placed sauces

GK - Travers
RB - Odemiyo
CB - Conroy
CB - Fryers
LB - Thompson
DCM - A. Grant
CM - M. Smith
RW - Jaiyesimi
AM - Twine
LW - J. Smith
S - Pitman

Subs: Matthews, Baudry, Freeman, Lyden, Payne, Hope, T. Smith

That squad automatically looks better without Grounds and Kovar in the squad. Would look even better without Baudry too!

Seriously starting to think/ come to terms with the fact Caddis won't be seen in a Swindon shirt again Sad

So, are we agreed. If Twine starts or comes on he’s staying and if he doesn’t get on he’s off.
