Was going to take the car out for a much needed spin.
Not in any condition to do that just yet. Leave it for another week.

 Head Hurts

Just trying to think what it would have been like with a full house in attendance yesterday.
Straight into the top three of best away days probably.

Couldn't watch it yesterday or listen to it. Loads of players out and fearing the worst. My 20 year old son was watching. Walked the dogs during the first half, came in and we were 1 -0 down. FFS ! Then with 5 minutes to go he screamed the house down, get in there. Come on Swindon, yes i thought 1-1, let's hold out till the end. Then 5 minutes later the noise was even louder, fucking hell, we've scored again. Come on lads we can win this. Still couldn't listen, pacing around the house waiting for the final whistle. Yes get in there we've fucking beaten those bastards down the A420. Did i enjoy last night !

Watching the highlights on sky, atmosphere seems much better there with fake crowd noise... albeit just a pity that Smith didn't have a stand to jump in after he scored (still not convinced he even touch it though).

One thing though, can we get off the false moral high ground.

Whatever many might be claiming if they were releasing mugs and tea shirts after that this forum would be rightly full of tin pot comments likewise there would have been many losing their shit on the coronavirus thread last night if they had videos of fans outside their ground celebrating.

But hey ho, things feel much better than they did at 4.45 yesterday afternoon...

The mugs and T-shirt’s are incredibly cringeworthy.

True, but I think it's just a bit of trolling by our commercial department following years of similar cringeyness from them.

What would really be cingeworthy is if anyone actually buys any of them....

Possibly plus - it’s added revenue in a time when the football club had lost a huge chunk of its revenue. Desperate time’s do sometimes call for desperate measures.

I like to think I have more class than to do I told you so's.

But I'm fucking having this one. Bathe in my smugness.
Fucking why not!

To be fair the bench today looks stronger.
Stronger than the 11!,😊
Turns out it was!

I like Broadbent, but I fail to see how all of a sudden he has turned into the Messiah after 1.5 games.  Bringing one of our most consistent players on from the past 1.5 seasons makes perfect sense to me.
Well turns out he really WAS the Messiah! Wink

Good lord that was a poor miss from Taylor. Bullet dodged.
Please be the turning point
It really was!

We have a few promising routes to score here, I fancy us to break the "not scoring at the Kassam" curse at least.
We did!

Still, they're there to be got at. As are we. Both defensives are dismal and both keepers dodgy. Game very much still on.

Not out of it.
Next goal will decide our fate. Score we could get a point.
Or 3!

Still holding out hope for a result today, they aren't anything special. Would like DJ on early in 2nd half if nothings changed if he's fit enough.

We'll win...1-2

Eastwood has an absolute horror clearance and Oxford get away with it. The kind of thing we've been punished for every time this season. Luck owes us a bit...
Your wish is my command......

As for Pox, Eastwood is a poor keeper, similar in quality to Kovar and we can punish him if we get some shots on target...

Broadbent on up front? ok then.
What do I know? obviously nothing.

Broadbent CF.
And RF too Smiley

Well there is no doubt Broadbent is decent in the air and will cause problems in their box, unsual though, might work.
And he sure did!

In fairness - I can certainly see the logic in it.
So did Shez!

Fuck me, their keeper seems equal to Kovar.
Just wait a few more minutes....

We’ve been going more direct in the last few games. I’ve no issue with that when you have someone up top, or on the wing who can win the ball in the air, which we don’t. Maybe Broadbent is the answer...
Well wha da ya know? he was!

Yellow for the Pox clownkeeper.
Clown you say? Smiley

The Pox are fucking shit, yet we are not punishing them.
yes they are, oh and wait a few more minutes....

I would welcome a draw but they are not one of the better sides and easily beatable without defensive/goalkeeping slip ups, cut those out and we won't lose.
Yep.

Forgot to mention...I thought the ref had a good game. Though maybe not as tough to manage as a typical derby without pressure from all three stands.

At long last! A set of lads that have done the club proud in this fixture. Very well done!

On top of that, aside from dicking them 7 or 8 nil, it's got to be the best way to win a game.

Still hasn't sunk in I dont think. I'm just floating around the house today in a smiley haze..

This.

Performance in a derby game is largely irrelevant, the manner of the win is everything, the stuff legends are made of.

It’s also completely irrelevant. Straw clutching of the lowest variety.
