How can we be so bad that we're not even competing in a game like this?  This is excruciatingly bad.

Shame J Grant had to go off. I don't rate him that much, but thought he had made a couple of good runs and crosses from the left.

I forgot about 5 subs being allowed, at least that's a bit of a saving grace from the two first-half injuries.

They’re a lot faster in their attacks than us. We need to speed things up.

Not sure we have the players to do that sadly

If we just keep giving the ball away in midfield then there is only one way this game is going. As said elsewhere they are quicker than us all over the place and we do not appear to be competing.

By that reasoning there’s even less reasoning for playing Broadbent then as he was even good enough to play regularly in league 2, so it still makes the Hunt sub logical.

Surely you judge a player on current season form and not historical form...from a division below? Rob Hunt currently hasn't cut the mustard for us at L1 this term so far. Broadbent when given an opportunity has done well. For a first start in a while, you have to agree he was pretty solid and we can only go on what we have seen this season so far.

We all know Broadbent had personal issues to deal with and seemingly with a manager who decided he had no route back into the squad. It's a bit harsh to say TB wasn't good enough to play in L2 when his manager was refusing to pick him most the time anyway.

Pretty obvious some players don't get picked just because a manager can't shift a grudge. Wellens clearly was a petty little cunt. Seemingly learning from his Master...Sheridan.

We have a few routes to goal, particularly down the flanks on the counter. We could get back into this but it'll have to be a smash and grab, Oxford look quite a lot better than us in the middle of the park and in general play. Hoping a returning Jaiyesemi will increase those issues down the wings before too long.

Oxford should be out of sight!
That's sort of good news AND bad news at the same time

Struggling to think of anything positive from that half apart from the fact we’re only one down. They’re poor, but we can’t pass, seem like strangers, and.... bottom line, just don’t seem up for it.

totally losing it in the centre of midfield, they can run at us at will

Not a bad performance bar the stupid goal, the massive let off and the injuries. They've just about edged it, certainly in terms of chances.

Biggest difference between the sides; when it breaks down off of Taylor, they have two or three attackers backing up the play, running on to the ball and creating ahead of our holding midfielders. When it breaks down for us, there is acres of space between the midfield and Tyler.

Still, they're there to be got at. As are we. Both defensives are dismal and both keepers dodgy. Game very much still on.

On the Broadbent/Hunt debate... Two very left footed CBs is never a good idea.
