A competitive defeat would be progress for me. A great three points against a poor Rovers should give some confidence but as has been said, Lincoln are a different kettle of fish. Hopefully we’ll see something more akin to the Hull performance rather than an Accrington.
Robins 1-3 Red Imps
Ditto. Sheridan will struggle to implement his tactics when we are playing Saturday, Tuesday. I think performances will only improve in January when we have less Saturday, Tuesday games. We may get a bounce though once our injuries clear up. I could never bet against Swindon but Lincoln’s odds for a win tomorrow look rather generous. Swindon will now win 3-1 because of this comment (I hope anyway !)

I think they will be of similar standard to Accrington. We are going to have to try to be solid at the back and grind out a result. Presumably no J Smith, but we don't know about DJ or T Smith. Without those, I can't see where the creativity is going to come from to break them down.

Pitman of course, one of his streaking runs from our own half,. Easy 2-0 win for the Town.

Only needs a little bit of coke in him and he'll be all fired up. May need stoking first though but that's a miner issue. #ShitCoalJokes

Lincoln don't normally score many (except against FGR in the FA Cup where they got 6) and don't concede many (except for the Liverpool game at home in the League Cup where they let in 7).
At least they don't play bully boy hoof non-football of the Cowleys any more.
I have seen all the goals from every game so far they have played and their keeper Alex Palmer on loan from WBA looks quite unsteady with crosses and long range shots so hopefully we can punish him.
I am not convinced that we can cut out all out defensive and goalkeeping errors so fully expect us to concede with a slip up by one of the back 4/5/6 (including the keeper).
I would like to think that Payne has a point to prove after being freed by them in the Summer allowing him to sign for us. If half his shots on Saturday were on target he would have scored a few goals, his connection being weak in almost every shot.
As for line up....I would think we will line up....
Kovar Caddis Baudry Odimayo Donohue Grant M Smith Hope Payne Stevens Pitman
Personally I would prefer Odimayo at RB as I think he is better there and Broadbent at CB but I am not sure Broadbent is fit enough for a start.
Hopefully DJ is back on the bench as well as Haines for that little something different if needed.

Broadbent let a cheeky little smile go when he was asked if he was involved tonight on the supporters club facebook thing last night

Can't see us getting much, but would like to see a very different performance from last Tuesday. Keep it tight and we could nick something.

Didn't Wright confirm as much in the pre-match presser?

If he is then keep Mayo at right back with BB in at centre back. Didn't Wright confirm as much in the pre-match presser?
I haven't seen that, I was unaware he had done one!

Another of these please Mr Pitman. https://twitter.com/i/status/1330869963238764545The way he swoops elegantly at the far post rising like a gazelle so high to head the ball into the goal with a perfect connection is unbelievable! TBH if he got a goal a game like that I would be more than happy, even if he doesn't even chase one ball down in the rest of the match!

A mate of mine who is a Crewe fan reckons these are the best team they've played so far this season. Solid, well drilled and a big step up in quality from league 2.
Sounds similar to Accrington, here's hoping we give a better account of ourselves than we did when we played them.
I'm going for an optimistic 1-1 draw.
