That shot from Pitman looked like somebody who couldn’t be arsed to do the hard stuff.

Definitely more stable at the back. Winnable if we turn the ball quicker.
Rovers not that good.

Ideal first half. Solid, simple, more controlled and no individual mistakes.

Kovar looks comfortable. The full backs are our best players. Not quite happened for M Smith and Payne so far. Pitman has done well to win some ball, but when he does win it it generally turns to shite.

Now how do we build a little bit of quality on that?

Two really poor teams. Swindon slightly the better. Which ever team shows ambition will go on to win the game.

Pitman too isolated upfront.

Nice not to concede before 15 minutes for once !

It’s there for the taking. Could go either way. Let’s hope we start strongly in second half. Payne is getting into good position but hasn’t found his shooting boots yet today. I do like Odimayo. I don’t like the way grounds always tries to do skilful turns when under pressure - it is predictable and he will get found out (again) if he continues to do this. Kovar looked okay - not been tested but coming well to claim balls and did well to head out when under a bit of pressure. Maybe Caddis was left out because we wanted a bit more height against Rovers? Donohue been playing well. Glad to see Grant okay. We have played some quite nice stuff at times. Final ball hasn’t quite been there so far. Would be good to get the ball to J Smith a bit more so he can run rings around them.

90 minutes of football without conceding a goal. That's novel.

Encouraging though if we can net one early in the second half.

Rovers are easily the poorest team we have played this season, we need to smash them 2nd half, Town easily on top of the game but need to get some shots on target, all the long range stuff is too soft.

Johnny Smith needs to beat his man and get balls into the 6 yard box, hes capable of it, Rovers defence is brittle.

Its just not working for Pitman so far.

Not understanding why J Smith isn't overlapping with Odimayo?

Unfortunately J Smith tends to use left foot only never likely to run to the byline very often if at all.

He made a good run into the box in the first half that was crying out for a right foot shot. He appears not to trust it, maybe worth a switch 2 nd half.

Grant has looked a bit more influential today. Is that because of the lack of quality of the opposition perhaps?
