Only 23 yellows in 65 matches says otherwise  Smiley
I have to disagree strongly.

Talking of Bullocks, Martin Bullock presented me with my League Player of the Season and League Winners Medal awards at a ceremony in North Derbyshire, in the 90s. Think we won the cup that year too.

Total contrast to Darren Bullock. Nice bloke, blonde curly hair. Good midfielder as well. Coming full circle, I'm sure he played under Steve McMahon?! Hmmm

Think you’re talking bullocks!

Can’t imagine Darren dishing out anything other than a good kicking.

Before your ref of Martin Bullock the previous posts were referring to Darren - erstwhile footballing hooligan at STFC

On a friendly cricket tour to the Midlands one summer, Darren B "dished out" a brutal boundary barrage.  He was not a cultured midfielder by any reckoning and not really a "cricketer" but it dawned on me that day that pro sportsmen are still likely to have a much, much better eye than the keen amateur.

Also remember DB getting a yellow for the intimidating way he advanced on a player who'd just fouled him.  No hitting, no raised anything just a march with primitively frightening intent  Smiley

McMahon, Bullock & Foley would add a little bite to the midfield😃

Lee Collins.

Can remember him having Georgi Kinkladze in his back pocket in about 1996

I was the first person in Swindon to get his signature. Even before the club did.

True story.

I am aware of that, hence the "Bullock" reference Smiley My subsequent contrast was that Martin was a nice bloke. We all know Darren was a bit of a fucker.

Have we done a brick shithouse XI? Have to be hard, burly and preferably dirty.

Burton (reportedly)
B.Williams - S.Taylor - Kilcline - McCormack
Nijholt - Bullock - MacMahon - Kamara
Shearer - Allison

Sure a couple of those positions could be strengthened, but can't think who right now...

John Gittens has to make it partnered by Nestor Lorenzo

Don’t think Taylor was dirty - just mad ass brave. I’d have Frank Burrows in there.
