I understood that this is a certainty

You'll have to read back. There were caveats in the writing. I thought you were more consistent. Seems not.

Also, yet again only chooses to reply when something is said against their opinion. What an antagonistic curmudgeon you are. Funny how you are unresponsive when something is said that is agreeable?!  Hmmm

You're quite the oppositional conversationalist aren't you Pint

I’m not sure doughty would have been much help defensively. AGrants legs have gone, and our wingers/wide attackers offer no support

Doughty could pass the ball and retain possession.
Not much use defensively without the ball but his inclusion would definitely stop us turning the ball over as easily / often.

I echo what boeta says, but would argue it’s more a team thing. The back four get zero help from those in front of them

Sheridans main concern should be making us harder to beat in the middle of the pitch

Agree, Lyden has been a big miss.

Payne has been decent enough on the whole but we aren’t collectively good enough to have the luxury of a number 10. For solidity we need to go 433 or 343. Payne would have compete for one of the wide spots

We need someone who's prepared to foul people in their own half.  Unlikely to be a booking, a good professional foul.  Stops the attack, we re-group, should coded concede fewer goals.

Lee Collins.

Can remember him having Georgi Kinkladze in his back pocket in about 1996
