I can remember Luke Rodgers being a pain in the early 2000's
He was a nimble little handfull up front but only played for Shrewsbury against us for a total of 20 mins.

They have however had  Leo Fortune West, Marvin Morgan, James Collins, Mickey Thomas, Chic Bates, Biggins and Maguire, John McGinlay, they always seem to have a decent striker.

The two I don't remember playing for them were Mickey Thomas & John McGinlay as Wrexham and Bolton takes over the old brain😁

Yeah both played a few times for them against us. But neither were well known for playing for the wannabe taffs. Mickey Thomas was always a proper dirty little fucker and never quite lived up to being labeled the Welsh George Best while at Man Utd, big boots to fill.

Thomas lived off that free kick against Arsenal in the cup and McGinaly did have a decent career for Bolton alongside his partner in crime Andy Walker

"I'm Welsh you know".
No STFC pointing and "slavetrader chanting" like "You're Welsh and you know you are, You're Welsh etc"? Wink

The winger you spoke about scoring was Victor Kasule, a really talented Scottish winger with bags of pace, never settled in England but man he was fast.
That's the fella - Cracking goal, cut in from the left and blasted from outside the box. It was one of those that you could see was goal bound the moment it left his foot.

I'd been teetering on the verge of tearing up my imaginary "ifollow season ticket" last week.

However, I'm already regretting my principled boycott of Tuesday's Boycott Cup and am ready to take whatever comes our way this pm.

Reading the posts here, I'm afraid I'd like to see Fryers in place of Kovar.  Although I'd have been wary, Kovar may need some tough love, Sheridan-style.  To come good, Kovar needs to back his own ability and make the goal area his very own - even if that means taking a few extra risks.

2-2 either way.
