I personally feel he should have been taken off at half time, he needs to grow up ASAP or people will continue to exploit the fact hes a nutter.
Game changed after his hissy fit and did anyone see him in the second half? nah me neither...

Rooney is one of my favourite players in the world and undoubtably one of the best. Go easy on him.

Rooney is one of my favourite players in the world and undoubtably one of the best. Go easy on him. I'm not doubting at all that there is a huge amount of talent there but as soon as he loses his focus and has a fit it effects the whole team. The second half was a completley different game, northern ireland started to get hold of the ball and we looked unsettled. i'm not blaming it all on Rooney, just think he needs to sort himself out.

I know what you mean but I could understand his frustration, he'd been a bit unlucky a couple of times, particularly just before he got his yellow card. If we'd of got an early goal it would've been a completely different game and I've no doubt England would have gone on to score a couple more.
As Rooney is out for the next game the odvious man to bring in is Peter Crouch.

I do like Crouchy, he is a very underrated player purely because he is very tall so it is assumed he is a donkey. For this reason I like to exaggerate how much I rate him to try and redress the balance.
He should certainly be in the England squad though when fit because he adds something different, we could of done with him tonight.
