I’d be tempted to let all the coaching staff go to Salford after that today.

Won't do much for his chances. His post match interview was lacklustre.

Did I imagine it, or did BBC wilts play a pre match interview in which it sounded like he wasn't rolling out a move to Salford

It sounded like him. missed the start

He sounded really downbeat and not his usual bubbly self. Not sure about the pre match interview but Hodgets was saying that Wellens may be back for Tommy Wright but it wouldn't surprise me if they both go if we get a new manager in

Fresh start. Fresh ideas. Fresh coaches - hopefully someone with at least a modicum of defensive nous.

Whether we can afford it is another matter.

That performance has summed up perfectly the precarious position we are in as a club. If we stay up this season it will be a bigger achievement than getting promoted last season. Here’s hoping there are at least 4 other clubs in a worse position.

Power mentioned that Wellens was the highest paid manager in his time here so that must be a good start to get in someone decent

He would have carried on paying Wellens if he had stayed so he needs to look at saving in other ways. Maybe sell a horse or two!

I suppose you go with someone who doesn't need the cash and will use the job purely as a stepping stone - usually a recently retired top flight player.

TBH, I switched the iPad off at the final whistle and logged off of here, couldn’t stomach it. After four Bishops fingers and a nap I’m inquiring as to how the post mortem is going while waiting for the pizza dough to rise. What did Hunt have to say or did he send out a ball boy to do the presser?

Hunt was very downbeat and said that's he was hurting, too many injuries, too many individual mistakes and will have to pick the players up and work on things in training tomorrow and Monday.

But you would hope that the squad players at a league one club would still have 'enough in their locker'

You would have hoped that league one players would have made sure the year were upmdod today's game knowing our history and that we need money coming into the club
