How much?

Not enough for you. Education isn’t the best paid but there are added benefits.

IT Tech is approx £19,312.00 - 20,092.00 pro rata, senior is £22,627.00 - 24,491.00 pro rata.

Literally wouldn't get out of bed. You could earn more on a service desk.

In the private sector yes. There are other advantages working in education.

Education is a different kettle of fish as you are reliant on Govt funding. It always has been crap, but the flexibility and holidays are the compensate for the poor(ish) salary.

You get invested in heavily with courses if necessary/wish, and you can be involved in any aspect of IT such as server work.
