It does feel like defending generally is dreadful at the moment. Not just us but definitely including us. Maybe it's something to do with a lack of contact training time between games?

Maybe we could do with a decent defensive coach to help tighten things up

I fully expect a choppy Wellens talking about squad depth after the match.

Should ask Richard Keys if he knows anyone.

A player like Curran throws everyone else off - you have no idea whether he'll clear the ball, shin it or just wander away from where he should be.  Everyone else tries to compensate and then everything turns to jelly.  It's not just him, that's clear, but you can write this type of game off with him involved I think.  It's harsh on the young lad, but he's truly awful.  PV, he's far worse than Robertson.

I have said it before and will say it again, we need a centre back that will throw his body or head into the way of a shot, thats currently something we do not have. Curran is not good enough to play for us in any competitve game, if he (or his family) is paying his wages then they arent contributing enough to us for the privilege.

We need someone like a Shaun Taylor or Jon Gittens, the closest we have had was Nelson, yes hes not a good footballer as such but he knew how to block shots. Someone who will give everything for the club.

When the ball just fell to Curran to slot home I thought he was about to stuff some of my words down my throat, nope, appeared to get his foot stuck in the ground.

Not sure I agree on the Robertson thing but it is close! when I saw Robertson he was up there with the worst centre backs I have seen at Town in 45 years! they are 2 utterly shocking defenders that do deserve a career in football. Curan needs to be moved on, hes just not good enough.
