I hear we have pretty much a full compliment of players to pick from today excluding Iandolo and Conroy. All players close to fitness are fit enough for at least the bench, J Smith should be ready to return and Stevens blisters are managable.
Lyden back?

Personally think he’s a huge player and having him alongside Grant for as many games as possible is crucial. Then Matt Smith can play the Doughty role as an 8 slightly ahead of them

I am guessing its the intensity of training is much harder for the 1st team than the U23's its something a lot of players suffer in pre season where there is more training. I expect he didn't get as intensive a pre season as the rest of the players.

He must be wearing in new boots I would imagine too?

But harsh on T Smith but until the new boys are up to speed, that's our best team.

Wait. No DJ?

2 changes, Stevens for DJ and Pitman for Tyler Smith.

Like the look of that team. Decent options son the bench for the first time too.

Pitman for Tyler is understandable but surprised that DJ isn't even on the bench, possibly hard on Tyler but hes a great option off the bench. DJ is a game changer for me though.

No chance DJ isn't in the squad if he's fit and everything is well.

Looking at the Burton team, they have some big players out there in build and height.

Nippy smaller players could run them ragged.

I’ve heard DJ has immediately retired from football to go and work for Doughty in his trainer business. Hope it all works out for him.

Burton unchanged from their win last week against Accrington.

That means no Bostwick, a man that usually bullies us in the middle of the park.
