Agree entirely. Could see us having to play Odimayo and Grant at centre back.

Yeah this is my concern. We were decent enough at the back last season especially with the BFG in goal but most successful teams I'd wager have a first choice centre half pairing that play most games. It is a concern that we'll be unlikely to have that continuity. Hopefully we won't suffer too much for it against better attacking players this season.

I'm still expecting us to have a good season by the way.

You have to remember as Wellens as said before, the only reason we get the like of Fryers is because of his injury record. Hopefully one of the three is fit and can partner Odimayo, if not each other.

Of course. I'm just not that comfortable having three centre backs with injury issues. Maybe we're not paying them very much. We were fortunate to a degree last season that REG was so good and instantly slotted in. Perhaps Grant will rise to the occasion at CB?

5 first team CBs relatively capable at this level (Odimayo unknown) plus Curran. No side needs 6 senior CBs.

If we need a 6th CB then we have the wrong CBs and shouldn’t have renewed Zeki and Baudry.

Yes on paper, but if Baudry, Conroy and Fryers are injured we will be very weak at CB which might very well happen. Don't think Curran is ready and Broadbent isn't L1 standard. Odimayo is unknown.

We’ve got Blackpool away soon

We don't need to scout Blackpool, just watch a DVD of us last season.

Edit: Horlock said it earlier and better.

You're going to be a nervous wreck by October. We can't keep buying players for what might happen you have to make a decision at some point.

Ritchie and his team seem confortable with things so far.

Good point. The last time we did anything in League 1, we had a steady pairing of Greer and Cuthbert.

compared to Stephens and when played at wing back, perhaps.  But the two made a good pairing first time round.

Remember, at STFC at least, Cuthbert turned to shit without Greer

Didn't they play in a three with Nath or have I made that up? Visions of Nath bringing the ball out into midfield starting moves (and also giving the ball away on occasions).

If any team’s first 3 CBs are injured they’re in trouble. Grant can do a job there too.

Again, if we need a 6th CB we’ve got the wrong CBs.

Any idea of the line ups for that game mate?

I can't see them online anywhere.
