Only saw the second half and the only ones with any chance of being in the match day squad on the opening day would be Twine, Palmer and possibly no.5. Purely based on what I saw...

So good to actually see a game involving STFC though...

Goalkeeper made 3 save. One good positioning, one a bit flappy and the other showed good reach. Did well.

Odin-whatever. Played well for the whole 90 mins.

Twine was shooting from everywhere. Got bundled off the ball lots as still looks too slight.

The rest didn't really stand out for me.

I thought the keeper in the 2nd half parried his saves. All it would take is a sharp fit striker and he would have been in.

Palmer? Nice blue boots. Didn't see much else that was particularly good. Might be better amongst the first reamers though.

One was a full stretch palm, which I thought was a good save. There was one flappy one. The first was a catch which he made look easy because his positioning was right.

I thought the 2nd half keeper looked ok for backup for L1. Didn't embarress himself at all, hes better than Moore and RCC were by a county mile. Has potential.

Anything after 60 minutes it's a tough thing to judge.

good to get the youngsters out there and see them though.

not much to add re trialists. #20 bambi looked a bit gangly, Nichols looked benyonesque, baxter and ooooohm looked good.

very difficult for trialists to impress I Grant you

I rekon Twine will be pushing for a starting place on that performance.

I wonder if it will mean 1 less attacker Wellens will want to sign.

RCC looked very good for his first 6 games or so. it's so hard to judge them in such a short time.

I think it’ll be more a case of hopefully helping him find a loan a level or 2 above Chippenham for once.

You think? I just remember him being shocking and dropping catches all the time. Memory may fail me though.

Come on, he never looked decent. He was poor at the very basics from day one, he couldn’t catch the ball cleanly and didn’t even dive for a lot of the goals that went in.
