Did they? I was going by the Charlton forum which said it was approved, will remove.

Looking at PV’s list of ins and outs no club looks like they’ve ‘gone for it’.

So from now the big hitters can’t just wave a larger contract to attract players. Players will choose on a variety of criteria - location, manager, style of play etc - instead of just plumping for poxy Fleetwood because they can pay a bit more than most other clubs.

Only Rovers and Blackpool have actually made more than 2 or 3 signings so far really, and only a handful have been for any fee.

Ipswich, one of the big hitters in L1 have yet to make any new signing at all.

Clubs cutting their cloth will mean a lot of bargains nearer the end of the window I am sure.

Cool - wonder what changed?
The EFL wanted confirmation they had enough funds in place for the signing, which wasn't a free transfer.
Quote
The Addicks had lined up deal for the Milton Keynes midfielder but the EFL blocked the switches on Friday due to the club’s transfer embargo.

Charlton stayed in negotiations with the governing body and had a meeting with the EFL yesterday – with club secretary Chris Parkes heavily involved in talks to gain approval.

Ivan Toney heading to Brentford for 10m. I know Peterborough have always driven a hard bargain, but that's some serious money. Makes you realise how much of a difference an Austin, Cox or Luongo sale could make these days.

Thats a massive fee for a L1 player, hes decent but hes not that good when I have seen him.

It just goes to prove that if Power can make sign a decent youngster who clicks in the team under Wellens then thats a massive cash cow for the club/Power. At this moment DJ would be the closest we have to being a player with huge potential at the right age, but if we get in the right goal poacher young enough who bangs them in (Toney is 24) then we could be in that position next season.

Plus it weakens Posh even though they still have Mo Eisa up front.

Just under 1 in 2.

Good, but 10M good? I've no idea about his other attributes.
