Jut reminiscing.

This fine vintage somehow came into discussion with friends tonight.

It took me back to the days when we'd wait around the side of the 'offy' and ask people passing by if they'd buy us a bottle or two if we gave them the cash.

We scored pretty much every night. And a packet of Silk Cut.

I sampled the powder tonight for a first time in a long time. Remembered why I hate it and love it at the same time.

In the mid 80’s we did the same at the off licence on Eastcott Hill but with Merrydown cider. By the end of the decade, and now of legal drinking age, I had progressed to Diamond White in pubs for a similar effect for less cash outlay.

Ours was outside Toothill shop(M+W) and someone would always go in for us. Halves on 10 B+H and drinks was either maddog20 20, Thunderbirds, scotchmac, or the cheap cider in 2 litre bottles. Then off to Westlea park to drink and smoke it all. Puke up ,get off with girls, fight etc. Used to be loads of teens from Greendown there on a Friday evening doing it.
Used to drink Diamond White and K in the clubbing days a few years later. Tried some K last year after seeing it in an off licence for old times sake. Wasn't nice.

Couldn't abide white cider, mix it with Castaway and it was a whole different ball game.
