Which is why I pointed out that the links between fans and club had become broken.

This, of course leading to the situation, where we find out who may or not own the club, who may or may not be selling the club, if it doesn't go into Admin and a large sum was trousered by someone on Matt Ritchie that we didn't know about. All revealed in a court case.

Classic example of false consciousness

Nobody trousered anything in the way you write that, as if profits were taken.  That is not what the case identified at all.  It identified that money was received and that Power used it to pay back his own personal investment when he should have given some of it to Standing/Barry.  In either event, it was paying back money owed, it was not a profit over and above.

That makes Power look like a cunt, but it is not illegal and it is not wrong for owners and lines of credit to take payment due on loans provided.  The clubs limited accounts even show the money moving, although did not call out why.  I think I pointed out an odd anomaly in the accounts which would probably align with this - the debt went down to Power, or something like that.

Did Power piss all over fan engagement and PR? - yes, is anybody denying he did that?

Has it improved in the past year or so? - yes.

Is that because Power knew he'd have to change his game plan once the finances started getting a bit complicated and other players were involved? - quite possibly.

With the connections to Bath I would agree.

Even if Clem is buttering up some Trojan Horses, it does at least suggest he still remains interested in sticking around for a bit.

I live in Bath and have met Jay a few times, but we’re not in some weird underground Clem fan club.

We’re different because everything always comes out. Must be the worst club in the land for keeping all the shady stuff secret.

That’s the only difference between us and all the others.
I was talking to another TEFer the other day about this exact thing what with the demotions back in 1990, pretty much every club was doing exactly the same thing but we got found out and punished. We were 100% definately not alone and our punishment was basically to put of clubs from doing it any more, we were scapegoats for certain.

Yes we did the crime but so did pretty much every other club back then too. A fair few of the most vocal were guilty of the very same crime if not even worse than we were charged with.

The latest issues also seem to have uncovered that the agent/player ownership is certainly not something just our club does, but the FA/EFL will see us as an easy target again.

Although I am 99% certain the problems are nowhere near as bad as so many of our own fans would like to think they are, we do seem to have a really unusual fanbase that would rather the club fold than carry on with its current owner.

A fair few even hide it away by thinly veiled comments about our owner/future owners and will never ever be happy until we no longer have a club to follow. And yes I don't just mean the FB page I mean some posters on here too.

We must be totally unique in having some of our own fans that actively wanting our club to die and be ressurected at the lowest level possible (if at all).

When I queried as to why some posters didn't want to see the FL charter requirement of 2 Fans Forums a season being undertaken I was told I'd be the only one there as nothing to see.

Many have mixed up the FiTC stuff, which is about wider community engagement, which may pick up some fans, and club initiatives aimed at its existing fan base.  The revelations in the court case show nothing has changed with the important stuff.

Atm the club is effectively in cold storage... of course largely because of the pandemic, but not helped by lack of communication.

It most definitely isn't.  It's Simon Tapscott, STFC fan living in Bath.
