No getting away from it.

Fabian Robert and Easyjet are another couple of duds.

Blair Sturrock?
Harsh. He was quite a good forward player, just not the striker we were expecting

Darren Bullock was a liability.

A £400k liability. Can’t believe we paid that much for him. Good grief!

2 in 1 year 1981.

Colin Barrett ex man City and Nottm Forest defender, scored in the European Cup vs Liverpool for Forest in the early rounds just the season before, came to us and was a bit shit and very injured.

David Peach came roughly the same time from Southampton for a then club record fee of £150,000. At that time the world record fee was just £1m.

He was an ex England squad member and played for England U21s and England B side and a great penalty taker of note.

Was utterly shocking for us.

All these came with massive expectations and "bigging up" by management at the time.

Juan Cobian.
Jason Drysdale.
Jon Stephenson.
Sebastien Ruster.
Jamie Slabber (loan).
Shaun Close.
Lloyd Opara.
Trevor Benjamin (loan).
Petr Mikolanda (loan).
Gareth Whalley.
Jamie Cureton.
Claude Gnapka.
Moses Ashikodi.
Chris Blackburn.
Yink Casal.
Hamdi Razak.

My God the list is almost endless!

Albert Jarrett. Worst player ever to set foot on the County Ground.

Didn't Gorman spend half a million on Mark Robinson?
Thought he was pretty poor for that price tag..

Who was that Finish chap who had some international caps... (checks swindon-town-fc) Marko Tuomela!

He'd played alongside Sami Hyypiä! He wasn't quite as good.
