Normy, you didn't used to do park run until a few years ago did you?

spoke to a guy there who was about your age that 'only did 3 miles these days and the occasional 10k'...

I made my excuses and left.

As you're interested, my best 10k time was 38 minutes 14 seconds at Marlborough, and 1hour 31 minutes for Swindon half marathon
Fuck me, who knew Zola Budd was a Town fan? Smiley

There was an article on the BBC earlier about famous current fans of clubs. Who are ours? I can think of Jamie Cullen, and Ivo Graham (who i dont really know tbh). And Cozy Powell's ghost. Anymore?

Ivo Graham is very funny, happy to chat about Swindon, and attends games (well not now...) Check him out... when you can.

The bloke that does the voice of Olaf in "Frozen" is a Swindon Town fan.

The Black Keys have also been to watch a game at the County Ground so I am counting them as fans (you wouldn't go otherwise, right?).

John Green (wrote "The Fault In Our Stars") is a fan.

More locally, horsey bloke John Francome, is a town fan.

Singer Betty Boo's husband is a Town fan, she announced this on Soccer AM a few years back.

BBC radio 2 presenter Tim Smith who is Steve Wrights sidekick is a Town fan, he sat behind me at Wembley for the JPT final, Steve always buys him Swindon related Christmas presents such as socks and shorts.

XTC drummer Terry Chambers went on Top of the Pops in a Swindon shirt in the late 70's.

Tenpole Tudor drummer Gary Long is a Town fan, born and rasied in Hungerford/Pewsey.

Seems like a lot of drummers are Town fans if you add Cozy Powell as mentioned earlier!

Francome used to have a decent chippy in Covingham many years ago!

I'd imagine he keeps quiet about that on his BBC Radio Oxford shows.

The Black Keys were bought to a game by their then tour manager Ben.  They were terrified by the county ground hotel when they were cornered by someone in the toilets telling them his opinion on Gurney in a very broad Wilts accent.  As they are from Arkansas they didnt really understand.

Batch,  I just jogged about a mile,  up Croft Road to Town Gardens, round them, and home.  I have done this regularly for some time, since I had to cut back a bit due to a slight knee problem.

I've just put some trousers on because somebody has come to clean the air-con.

It must be the first time that I've worn anything other than boxers and T-shirt for months - literally.
