Anyone remember the great disco days from the late 70's when life was so easy going without a care in the world listening to songs like southern freez!

I am currently revisiting my disco phase. Lots of Donna Summer and Hamilton Bohannon at the moment.

I used to absolutely revile disco and all it stood for as a gesture of gaudy, frivolous escapism at a time which demanded front-line engagement.

Go home, stuff your discos. / We hate the poofter pack.

I've slightly mellowed in the intervening years.

Same here, on both counts. I recently appalled my kids by insisting they listen to I Feel Love at not quite top volume as it's a classic

Me too, I hated Disco for all that it was and stood for, now I can tollerate it but there are very very few tunes I actually enjoy listening to.

I quite like disco, but I wasn't born until 74. Ye olde fuckers.

Disco would be far down my list of favourite musical genres but still ahead of grunge and britpop.

in fact even yacht rock would be higher up my list. HTH.

Yes I am old.
