It must be 20 years at least since I watched this from start to finish.  Today's football fix.

Well thanks for that Ardiles. Never watched the match video before. Brought back the whole rollercoaster experience.

Then I think you were among the London Reds for a very long night at the pub!

I wasn't, actually.  I was still at university in 1993, and didn't move up to London (and meet the other London Reds) until late 1999.  I could have a good guess at who was there that night though!

About 10 mins in.  Hairs up on the back of my neck watching this.  High tempo, high energy start.  Hoddle's everywhere!

Simpler offsides in those days. Quite odd watching it now.

Agnew looks about 50

Maskell's workrate was great that day.  I don't always remember him playing that way.

Fraser has made some great saves in the last 5 mins.

Still 0-0.

Maskells work rate was always the best part of his game IMO, he scored a few good goals and had one excellent scoring season but looked a little out of his depth when he was played in the Prem season.

If he had a bit more strong physique he could have done very well but he was a little too lightweight.

Will always be fondly remembered for his goals in the promotion season though. Not least for the play off final goal.

That day was an unbelievable experience, 3-0 up and we thought it was all over, then back to 3-3 and the goading of the Leicester fans sat not far from me will always stay with me. We had the last laugh with that one though!

The 89-90 play off game was far more one sided yet seems much more of a distant memory for me after the resulting demotion etc.

It made that final so much sweeter.
