Like a total Twat I managed to jump into a swimming pool with my Samsung A70,
it since has failed to turn on, pissed off that I have to replace it but gutted that I have lost all photo's from the holiday, I have searched YouTube  & Google for info to recover them but they just give info on how to transfer with phone powered on, any Techies out there that can help Sad

cheers NMH, it says "If the operating system of your device is supported by the program and you have not enabled USB debugging on your device, please manually enable USB debugging mode on your Android device to have your Android device recognized." Smiley as it can't be turned on its a no go Crash

I've never done any of this, but have you removed the battery and dried everything out as best you can? Lots of stuff online, but not sure any of it works.

thanks again mate, will try those later, the phone is a sealed one, the back doesn't come off, iv'e just taken it to a shop in town, he reckons he may be able to at least get it to power on so I can transfer the photo's etc, fingers crossed

The rice and airing cupboard throry is a tried and tested one for drying it out. Then I had to put it on charge for over 24hrs before turning it on but it worked!

got it back from the phone shop, its totally fried, no hope for it, every youtube video claims to be able to transfer data over even though it wont turn on, halfway through them all they tell you that if the software does not recognise the device turn it on Suicide

Did you leave it and try dry it out before trying anything ?
If you tried charging it or turning on when still damp inside it will fuck it up.

and try not to turn it on before it's dry.
and better to remove battery.
and silica gel better than rice

and even then, if its fried, it's fried
