Good man-management. Something that Wilson appeared to be terrible at despite being a decent coach.

I've always wondered if Wilson might do well under a DoF type figure where he was just left to the footballing stuff and the other guy handled the players.

Interesting idea... I think I remember Wilson having a bizarre record of only ever coming from behind to win twice, and both of them against 9 men. The guy was a good coach but never had a plan B

Swindon 2 - 1 Grimsby. Early goal from Doyle and late goal from Yates in front of 7,953 (450 Grimbarians).

Whatever happens would just like to see a Doyle goal, guy needs to start scoring again for both our and his sake.

Was he (Doyle) credited with the goal that wasn't his in the end?

To clarify, was not being a doom merchant, its more for our sake as we piddled a fair bit of cash on him for no return so far, and for his sake to ensure that when he is trying for a contract next season (either here or elsewhere) his pre Christmas run is not seen as just a bit of a one off.

I said while he was at Bradford that even if he does come back, he wouldn't get anywhere close to his loan form! He's still contributing though, and playing well so I'm not too concerned. Goals would be nice of course.

Think he's got two assists since he came back? That's not "no return"

He's been 2 (two) goals without a game, one of which was an away game to the team in 6th place...

Unbeaten with 7 points from 9 since he came back, that’s all that matters.

I feel a big win coming on. Can’t shake the feeling off of a 5-2.

I’ll have a few quid on that.

Thought he played well against Exeter given the conditions, always clever on the ball which is invaluable in a tight game. Can't speak about the games since but no need to hit the panic button yet.
