Assume we’ve got centre back(s) lined up if Zakuani has been released - unless we wanted him and he doesn’t fancy it.

No way was Bradford’s following 404 - it looked way more than that. Away fans part of the Arkells is 900. Looked fairly full to me.

Zakuani just doesn't suit the way we play, need a centre back that is good with the ball as it's key to our style.

The 900 includes the section on the other side of the stairs and the bottom block. Both of which were empty so 400 is about right.

He’s freeing up money for the likes of Doyle, Yates, Grant and a few A N Others.

I’ve a feeling we're going to be a lot more active in this window than we imagined. I don’t quite see Wellens point that we need goalscoring midfielders. Not sure you can discount goals from 10 (as he did) - as our 10 plays in a midfield 3!

If that’s right it was, indeed, a very poor following. Maybe the realisation they’d have to pay more than a shilling to get in put some off.

3 points clear at the top.
6 points clear form 4th.
10 points clear from 8th.

Most teams in the fray have 1-2 games in hand over us.

Which they have to win as we know. So all in all not bad is it? Look back at the comments and predictions from July, August, September and October. Christ if we knew back before we kicked off against Scunny we’d be where we are after one of the most important parts of the season we’d all be pissed up celebrating after wanking ourselves stupid, metaphorically speaking. Except Mexico Red he’d be on a flight to woo Greta.

look at the Plymouth game when they sold out the bank they still only had 2,200. Of the 900 they only sold 300 in advance so I still think 400 is about right with pay on the day of 100 or so.

Broadbent wasn't 100% fit either, so you can't risk starting two unfit centre halves.  Grant has played pretty well in the previous two, it was the obvious choice to start with the two we did.  Especially as a fit Broadbent looked shot to pieces earlier in the season and is also a left footed defender.  Today's result and performance had nothing to do with the centre half pairing - Doughty ran into the back of their player to concede the free kick, but the game was doomed from the start because both sets of players were broken and so was the pitch.

disagree. today's performance had everything to with the cb pairing. Grant doesnt influence games at cb and his awareness and passing today was terrible. No grant in midfield means no Doughty. Those two can dominate and create. Nothing came from cm midfield today- it was all on DJ and Woolery who wasted every opportunity to play someone through or take a shot.

Painful to watch that. Our players were out on their feet and now we're really down to the bare bones, especially at the back. Yates somehow found the energy to run around for 90 minutes and was enough of a nuisance to their defence to deservedly win MOTM. The rest of the attacking players were poor and gave the ball straight back to Bradford.

1-1 was the expected result and I'm happy with a point under the circumstances. I just hope Wellens can bring in a centre back or two this week, and of course keep Doyle here.

Is it me, or are the pitch invaders getting younger and younger these days?

A useful point.... keeps a gap to Bradford, we could do with a repeat next Saturday, but given the turmoil with potential loan recalls, injuries and suspensions, would be hugely impressive.
