Yates and Woolery linking up well just outside the box.

Yates is the best player on the pitch today for me.

HT 1-0

Decent enough, Bradford offer very little except for set peices.

Yates has been brilliant.

Not a classic, but that's to be expected the way Bradford play. You can see why Doyle struggles to get goals in that team.

Some half time ska:

Bit scrappy. not made the best of our attacking chances. just holding on too long.

Bradford no great shakes either mind. Happy enough.

Getting dragged down towards their ‘style’ of play. Fucking ugly to watch.

Get 3 points here with, yet again, losing a player injured would be massive. Tbh, I’d accept a point now.

After the Lord Mayor’s Show for DJ.

Yates is brilliant.

Very scrappy.  Pitch looks quite cut up for a change which is making it tough for players to pass and control.  In those circumstances getting the goal is very important as even with total control a mistake is likely.  Think we've decided against slick passing as a result.  They are very one dimensional but a threat at set pieces.

With them it's all about set pieces we need to avoid giving them away.

For us we just need to make better decisions in the final third as we've had plenty of chances to cut them open but taken too many touches. We are always a danger on the counter attack so being in front is big for us.

44% possession.  That's so far off normal it seems deliberate.

Some comments from Bradford fans.

Quote
Forget football, it would be an infringement of human rights to bring Doyle out of a side that plays like that, into a side that plays like us.

This is EXACTLY the level of performance weve been turning out for a while. The difference is, we're against a decent side

I think we’ll lose by a few here. Not because of formation but simply because Swindon are a good football team who will expose us for the lack of quality we’ve seen this season

Swindon showing us how to perform and what's needed at this end of the table

You can't play football and succeed in this league.

.. and just what are Swindon doing?

Forget systems. Swindon are playing with 1 up top. It's about intent, instructions and coaching.

Swindon have taken the wrong option half a dozen times near our box. Need to take advantage of that.

Take away the penalty and this has been an even half.
We're having plenty of the ball now.

we're looking as good as Swindon

Its bollocks. Weve been second best in every department

Not much between the sides coming to the end of the half, they've gone off the boil. Their early pressure has gone.

Were far from out of this game.

They have burned themselves out with all that 'we dont need Doyle enthusiasm

Doyle will never score for us because our tactics are $hite. Why does he score for Swindon? Look at how they're playing. We never play like that!
This is an appalling game! very scrappy and lots of tired legs from both sides.

If i was a Bradford fan i'd be thinking that Swindon are there for the taking. Ravaged with injuries and players carrying knocks. Be an interesting second half.
