He’s been decent - so think we should be trying to secure him a bit more long term.

Thought McCormick played very well last night. Good saves, good handling - still think he was unlucky to get dropped.

Also a mention for the BRovers groundsman. Pitch played very well in atrocious conditions.

Benda for LMc was about marginal improvement. Look at our form since, and how much better Benda is with the ball at his feet.

He also makes saves LMC doesn't get near imo. LMc better on crosses, but little else.

hiccup on Donohue deal. still trying

Perhaps something to do with his off the field indiscretions like caveats in the contract?

As far as on the pitch goes, get him signed up for to the end of next season.

Can't play for anyone but us or Mansfield this year.

Or in a different league.

Good point, he may well have an offer from a Scottish side for instance.

LMC asked to be dropped? So not that unlucky!

How'd Sidy do last night?

He’s got something, that’s for sure. Not sure what it is, though. One special little cameo showed great feet and close control. Probably be better with better players around him.

Can’t think who he’d replace mind.

Sidy is a big old lump, he ran around a lot and got forward often. Hes built like Toums who also played ok tbh. Sidys first touch is not bad and he has a bit of pace but his tackling is poor at times. He was pretty decent and looks better that May imo.

Get rid of May and keep Sidy around for the rest of the year?

I would send May back in January for sure. Ironically May played his best game for us yesterday but he was still poor to average at best. Sidy looks to the right build and could well improve a lot. He showed promise. Broadbent looked getting back to where he was last season and Zakuani looked pretty assured against a very experienced Rovers forward line. LMC looked pretty good too.

Iandolo should have scored with a great chance from about 8 yards with just the keeper to beat, should have done better.

Parson and Twine both looked eager and ran around a lot but both are too lightweight and lacking a final ball. Holland put himself about a fair bit for the last 10 mins or so and reminded me of Mullins.

I like the sound of that.

Just had a look at the Gas forum and they cannot wait to see the back of Bennett.
