Good game that, looked assured thru the bulk of it.
Nice to see Yates score one as does a lot of running with little to show for it for himself.
Doyle is class anywhere near goal.
Though Isgrove looked brighter than previous weeks, hopefully a rest will do him some good.
Good all round team performance  Pint

Now to lose at home to Walsall

Bayo has scored again today he's got one or two recently. He'll probably want to show something.

Only one player with more league goals right down to National Leagues North and South than Doyle.  Jerry Yates is joint second top scorer in L2.

been a good week... means we can now start to look up again rather than  down.

Probably one for Venkers, not sure I can think of an away hat trick scorer since Coxy. Although that seems unlikely as we've had a few good strikers since him and the odd good season
There have been a few, the most memorable for me was Alan Mayes scoring an away hattrick on his Swindon debut, now that is a feat.

Not that impressive TBH, just the 2 all season in 13 games.

I've seen 2 4's on the road. Dennis Brown and Duncan Shearer.  Hat tricks Peter Thorne at WBA, Dave Mitchell at Brum. Kevin Horlock at Rovers.  Steve White at Watford, can't think of any others.

I was at all of those games except for the Dennis brown game when I wasn't even born Smiley.

I was too young to go to the Alan Mayes hattrick as I was only 12 and didnt get to away games much unless it was a cup game!

Also Colin Gordon at Hereford I saw in 85, also Charlie Henry at halifax in 86.

Missed Mayes, CG and CH. They are pretty rare, relative to home hat tricks.  Likewise not too many have done it at the CG, for oppositions.
