It's a fact which bears no relevance to what happens tonight. No matter what you say, it just doesn't Cheesy

Before Saturday I said I’d take 4 points from the 2 home games. I’m not able to attend tomorrow, but what I saw on Saturday has made me recalibrate my expectations - I’m hopeful of a win, but it may be a scrappier game / performance than Saturday.
1-0 or 2-1 is fine.
Assuming Grant/Conroy were withdrawn for precautionary reasons only I’d start the same team, although I’d expect Doughty to come on at some point in the second half.

It would be a good one to put to bed though, both in terms of confirming fitness levels and building a strong home record. Both of which i.e. poor fitness and not very good at home have been contributory factors to the poor record.

Include the midweek away games since the PDC era as well and the overall record must be pretty dismal.

A win tomorrow night would be another pointer toward a successful season.
Possibly.

As far as I can tell, we haven't won both Saturday & Tuesday home games in the league since 2010.

No time like the present.

Should be a good test against a team that would have been targeting top 7 this season.
We looked better than them in the cup game, up until the red cards.

Sitting back and hoping for the best might not be the best game plan for them.
Close, 2011-12 we won Tuesday, Saturday then Tuesday again in a row that year, starting on my birthday Feb 21st then 25th and 28th with wins vs Shrewsbury, Accrington and Burton.

Your point does still stand mostly though as we have not done it again since, but we have only played 10 back to back Saturday then Tuesday home games in the league in that 8 years.

We have won 5 times back to back Tuesday then Saturday matches over the same period though.

All of this Tuesday nights bollocks is irrelevant.   Yes, we've a shit record of recent years on midweek games,  however,  that was then and this is now,  records are there to be broken,  and we're going to break a lot this season (hopefully), full of confidence on this one 2-0 to the Town.

Well, the historical stuff is. But given the high tempo we play with, I think there's a legitimate concern that midweek games don't give some of our players enough time to recover from Saturday and so possibly we might be a little below par midweek?

All records are there to be broken anyway, good or bad.

Our players do look fitter this season than they have for a few years so that could work in our favour, Grant and Rose being the 2 mentioned that could be a concern as they have both not featured much recently so fitness levels could be below par, but we have plenty of options on the bench now if that proves to be the case.

Something we haven't been able to say much lately TBH.

Possibly,  but we're on the crest of a wave, let's ride it !.  Much stronger and seemingly fitter squad than previous seasons, and a strong bench, that should see us through.
