Perfection is not attainable

Its very easy being the fan of an opposing side to ignore the negative part of a commentary...also being a fan of the opposition and quite defensive about it then i heard mostly the negative comments made by the 2 comms. For the first 40 mins of the game they were anything but complimentary about us.

They only realised tbey had a game on their hands midway thro the 1st half. They were an absolute joke.

Isgrove was everywhere today. Always involved, and always doing good stuff. I think we are going to like him. A lot.

Think we already do, every time he got the ball there was a buzz in the crowd. Been a while since we had a player who genuinely gets the crowd on the edge of their seats like that

Given the overall dominance and chances created, anything other than the 3 points would have been massively frustrating.

Good to see both Woolery and Anderson produce some end product in the first couple of games.

The lack of like for like cover in some of the forward positions is a concern, but maybe it's our turn to get through a season where the majority of the first teamers manage to play 40 or so games.

Thought we might have the only sentient away dugout in the league, so was disappointed to learn that it was just a case of the opposition manager getting all shook up over its location.

Broadbent not on the bench. Is he injured or has he fallen behind Curran in the CB pecking order?

He suddenly stopped playing according to personal reasons, according to Wellens at the time.

He is ex military, possibly something linked to that.

Mate of mine is ex forces and recently developed a lot of mental health issues. He’s been out 5+ years.

I've seen this mentioned elsewhere but really enjoying this new feature from BBC Wilts. Even "Football Phil" gets a look in https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07kb5kn

What’s football Phil’s deal? He’s a character - always see him at matches and he cracks me up.

Remember being 15/16 and engaging in conversation with Football Phil for the first time. Was a bit of a whirlwind, had never met anyone like him at the time but a lovely bloke and clearly a die-hard.

I remember being at an away game, Bournemouth I think it was and he was just going on non stop about Jamie Ward signing for us.
